Our Story
OptiChain was founded by senior executives with over 27 years of international leadership—including transformative roles at BP, Ecopetrol, Equion and Ocensa /Enbridge—and a documented record of delivering $720 + million in value across the energy sector. Our journey began with a vision to bridge global best practices with the specific needs and challenges of the American energy industry.

OptiChain was founded by a senior executive with over 27 years of international leadership in the energy sector. He was recognized for six consecutive years with Ecopetrol’s highest performance rating for exceptional achievement and leadership, and in 2019 was named one of Colombia’s Top 100 Most Successful Managers by Gerente Magazine. Throughout his career at Ecopetrol, BP, Equion, and Ocensa/Enbridge, he has received multiple distinctions for ethical leadership, operational excellence, and strategic impact—including the Outstanding Ethical Mentor Award, the company’s highest honor in ethics.
